Discipline keeps the mind sharp

Our classes are a combinations of styles and skills, catered to make sure each individual reaches their fullest potential. Typically beginners start with Tai Chi, Qi Gong and stretching. Then will add Shaolin Basics and push hands. Eventually they will learn Shaolin forms, Weapon forms and sparring.

Qi Gong

A holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial arts training.

Push Hands

A two-person training routine practised in Tai Chi to develop the martial arts skills of pushing, pulling and balance. The first step in sparring.

Tai Chi

The most famous version of Qi Gong, specifically targeting moving meditation through martial arts movements and applications.

Weapon Forms

Adding a weapon teaches the specific movements required to wield said weapon, but it also becomes an extension of the body, teaching softness and intelligence of movement over pure power.

Shaolin

One of the oldest, largest, and most famous styles of Wushu (or Kungfu) utilises kicks, blocks, and punches to stop attackers with mixture of open and closed hand strikes, and various weapon.

Sparring

The use of fight applications and techniques without landing heavy blows, as a form of training. Tai Chi City group classes do not involve any full contact. For contact martial arts please contact us for private classes.
